What do I need to mount the tent on my vehicle?

The tent comes with the necessary mounting hardware for installation.

How long does installation take?

Installation should take no more than 5 minutes.

How many people are needed to install the tent on my car?

We recommend setting up the tent with at least two adults.

How to set up the tent safely?

What tools are needed to install the tent on my vehicle?

All tools needed to set up the tent are included with your purchase.

What do I need to know about the height of my roof rack?

The distance between the top of your roof bar and the top of your roof must be at least 8cm.

Will my roof racks support the tent?

The bars should support the weight of your Trek folded (when closed). This minimum weight is 38 kg

How do I know if my roof rack will work?

Our mounting hardware is universal and should fit any rack/crossbar system. If you are unsure, please contact us.

My roof racks are thick, will they fit?

Our universal mounting hardware can accommodate crossbars up to 10cm thick.

What should be the spacing of my roof racks?

To find the optimal distance, divide the length of your tent by 3 (if you have two crossbars). For example your Trek is 208cm long and you have 2 crossbars, divide 208/3 = 70cm should be the spacing.

Everything you need to know about storage

How do I store my Roof Tent?

We always recommend keeping your RTT at least 5cm off the ground to prevent moisture from entering your tent and causing mold or other problems. Be sure to ventilate/dry your tent well before storing it for a long period of time. Don't leave it outside directly in the elements if you won't use it for weeks or months.

What should I do if my rooftop tent gets wet when I close it?

When you get the chance, be sure to open the tent so it can fully air out. Keep in mind that large temperature changes, such as freezing and thawing cycles, can cause condensation even if a tent is closed. If you don't ventilate the moisture, mold can form
